Now Open: Our Dental Office Safety Precautions during the COVID-19 Pandemic

Welcome back! We look forward to seeing all of our Vallejo patients as soon as possible.

We have always made patient safety a top priority by adhering to the sanitation and infection control guidelines put forth by the American Dental Association and OSHA (Occupational Safety
and Health Administration). During these unusual times, our team is implementing additional guidelines at our Vallejo dental practice to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. With our actions and your help (see below), we can keep our office as safe as possible!

​Here is what we are doing to keep you safe:

• To maintain social distancing and infection control, we will reduce the number of patients in the practice each day.
• If you have an appointment, please contact us by phone once you arrive at the office, and we will alert you when it’s time to come in.
• We will screen and take the temperature of every patient.
• We will request that you rinse with an antimicrobial mouthwash before beginning treatment.
• Our staff will wear protective equipment such as gloves, masks, safety glasses, and gowns for everyone’s safety.
• Our staff will disinfect common areas of the dental office between each patient – welcome areas, restrooms, chairs, etc.
• Air purifiers will run at high speed throughout the office all day long.
• If you have a cleaning appointment, we may not use the cavitron (vibrating instrument with water) and we may not polish. 

We can do a lot to keep you safe but we need you to help us with the following: 

• If you feel sick or have any symptoms, please reschedule. 
• If you have questions, please refrain from "dropping in." Please call first.
• Please wear a mask in office common areas – when you enter and leave. 
• Maintain six feet between yourself and other patients.
• We ask that you come alone to your appointment. If you require an escort, we ask that they remain in their vehicle to reduce the number of people in the office.
• Please refrain from chatting at the front desk. We love to catch up but for our safety and yours we need to minimize your time in the office.
• Please be prepared to pay your portion DURING your visit from your mobile device. This will help us minimize payment handling.
• Even if you are in the office for an appointment, we may ask you to handle billing/insurance questions by phone appointment. 

If you are wondering whether it is safe to return to the dental office, we want to reassure you that our dental office cleanliness and sanitation have always exceeded the required standards to prevent the spread of any illness. The additional measures we are putting in place will further improve patient and staff safety.
